Text Box Problem

I know this is a really simple problem but it’s got me. When I’m typing in a text box every time I hit return/enter instead of text dropping to the next line it ‘closes’ the text box.

What setting do I need to change or what am I doing wrong?

I you are typing in a text box, you shouldn’t have to hit the enter key to go to the next line, it should automatically wrap around when it comes to the edge of the box.

Click and drag a text box, then you get paragraph style.
