Replace Color – How can I choose a color ??

I have a simple single color logo that is the wrong color and I need to change it to a bright blue. I have tried the replace color’ and it all select just fine, but I can only get a washed out blue no matter how I adjust the sliders. Is there a way to simply change the color to a given color that I can select from swatches??

I know this is a dumb question, but I am not a photoshop guy.

colour over lay in layer styles. would be one way, click on it with the bucket would be another, monotone another.

stick with colour overlay if your not sure.
