Hi
I am new at this. I have Photoshop 7 and am trying to do the following
1. I have a colour picture which I have converted to Black and white (Greyscale)
2. I have the a colour picture of the same person but from a different angle in colour.
3. Every time I take the layer ( head shot)from the colour photo and move it onto the black and white the head shot turns black and white.

How do I stop this

convert your greyscale pic back to rgb (or cmyk). you were informed during converting to greyscale that every color information is lost so your converted to greyscale pic will still look like a greyscale after reconverting to color but its able to show placed colour parts coloured.

If the working space is Greyscale, you can’t add a color layer. Set up the main image as an Adobe RGB space and drag in the greyscale image. Or you can simply drag both color images in and desaturate the one that needs to be B&W.
