Newbie bought CS on-line:

Issue 1: Do any of you subscribe to any Photoshop tips/tricks magazines that are worth their price? How about books to learn?

Issue 2: After buying the software on-line, downloading and installing, I am now considering buying a more powerful computer. Will I be able to download the software onto the new computer without paying again? Isn’t this why one should simply buy the hard version?

Thanks.

In answer to your second question, the download expands to a folder called Photoshop_EN_R which is probably on your C drive. Copy this to a CD (wise in any case to back it up). The installer (setup.exe) is in the Photoshop folder. You can legally install on a 2nd computer.

There are loads of entry level books on Photoshop. Adobe’s own Classroom in a Book series is very good but there are lots of other tutorial style books as well.

Re: You can legally install on a 2nd computer.

Add: if the same user will be using it. You cannot install on a second machine legally if different users are using it at the same time.
