There are two possibilities:
1. You’re using an illegal cracked copy.
2. You have a keyboard driver problem and you need to reinstall the drivers.
I believe this is now covered in the FAQs.

Problem ended up being a faulty blackbox switch.
Thanks for the info.
Just for completeness, a third possibility….
3. Problems not yet identified or still under investigation to be verified perhaps.
But Bob’s first two items probably do cover the majority of situations.

What is ment by faulty black box switch?
MK, black box is a brand name for a switch that allows you to connect multiple systems to a switch box and control them from a single mouse, keyboard and monitor. you can switch between the systems at will with either a key command (crtl-1, crtl-2, etc.) or a button on the front of the box.

I have one too. Took me awhile to figure out that it didn’t work well unless I had identical drivers for the mouse and keyboard on all systems. Once I had that corrected, I can say that the "black box" works well and saves time and equipment.
I’ve got one too at work… very nice.
