Just tried installing PS CS on a new system. I was installing an upgrade. I chose to have PS verify that I was a candidate for the upgrade by having it check the PS 6.0 CD I have (and I know this is a good CD and used it for upgrade verification going from 6.0 to 7.0 on the old system without a hitch). When it asks me to put in the old CD and I do so and click next it sometimes will go to the part of the verification where it says it is checking for valid media and sometimes not…but either way it keeps coming back to the screen that says it needs to check for the CD and to put the CD in and click next…can’t seem to get beyond that screen and seems like it just can’t verify the old 6.0 CD. I know the drive sees a disk in there because when I take the CS disk out and put the 6.0 disk in the autoplay starts on the 6.0 disk.
Any solutions other than to install 6.0 on the new system and then try installing CS and telling it to check the system for old versions?
