have a question how to prepare an image to be placed in illustrator without having the image background show up. I know i can make a clipping path once the image is in illustrator, but i was just wondering if there is another way to do this or what’s most efficient way to prepare all my images ready to place.

Thanks

Just save as PSD with transparent background – that will place in Illustrator 9x/10x and retain the transparency.

For earlier versions of Illustrator you need to create a clipping path and Save As EPS
