Error Saving JPEG File

When I attempt to save a file in JPEG (.jpg) format, I get a message that reads "Could not complete your request because of a program error". Any help or advice as to why this happening and how I can get it to work is greatly appreciated. Thanks and have a great day.

Try resetting your preferences. There’s a procedure in the faq.

I am here to ask the EXACT question, to which I don’t see a viable answer here…

I work on PS 6.0.1 and suddenly it would do the same thing, give me a "program error" message whenever I am trying to save a file as JPEG.

What gives? Thanks.

Start PS and keep pressed CTRL+ALT+SHIFT , a prompt will ask you to confirm the preferences reset
