Hi there.

I really need help on this.

Photoshop installs that – let me call it – plug-in that enables the image preview in a standard windows-explorer.

That thing might be usefull but not for me.

Because of my job I often have to create images larger than 400 MB (for printing)…

The result is, that if I open an explorer and navigate to a folder containing such a file, my system freezes for the time it needs the plug-in to load the file and create a thumbnail preview.

How do I turn this feature off? I don’t need it anyway, because I use the "Details" option for the explorer so even if I wait until the loading of the picture is completed I only see the 16×16 Pixels Adobe Photoshop Icon as the file icon.

Hope anyone can help me…

Best regards
Soeren

How do I turn this feature off?

search for and rename "psicon.dll" to something like "psicon.old". I THINK it’s in the \program files\adobe\photoshop 7.0\ main folder
