tiling two documents on the screen

opening 2 images on the screen in PS7 and going to window>document>tile – automatically places them equally sized & alongside one another (left & right). But in PS 8
(cs) the same menu command places them on top of one another on the screen (top& bottom). I want it to be as it is in PS7 – am I missing something simple here ?

Seems a CS ‘feature’ until the bug fix….
