Using CS2 WinXPPro lots of fonts, memory and disk space. I’m entering text using Arial font and I need an em dash. I have Word set up to convert two hyphens to an em dash, but I can’t figure out how to get an em dash while entering text in Photoshop. Any ideas?

Simplest way: Use the Character Map (Start > Programs > Accessories > System Tools > Character Map). If you want to remember odd key combos, you can type Alt+0150 for en dash and Alt+0151 for em dash. (You have to use the numbers on the keypad; if you use a laptop’s keyboard, you need to press an extra key (typically Fn) to turn some of the letter keys into a keypad, so it would be Alt+Fn+0150/1.)

Just an aside: Winkey > r gives the Run dialog; type "charmap" in there. If you use non-keyboard characters a lot, make a short-cut to charmap.
